چکیده

Realizing urban energy systems with net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050 is a major goal of global societies in building sustainable and livable cities. Developing cities hold key to meeting this goal, as they will expand rapidly the next decades increasing demand, potentially associated rising air pollution if fossil fuels continue be utilized. Therefore, identifying equitable, cost-effective, deep decarbonization pathways for developing essential. Here, we analyzed Bangkok City, Thailand, using System Advisor Model (SAM) techno-economic analysis evaluate potential rooftop photovoltaics (PV) integrated electric vehicles (EVs) batteries on city scale. The analyses took into consideration hourly local weather conditions, electricity tariffs, feed-in-tariffs, degradation, declining costs PV EV, etc., specific Bangkok. As prices EVs decrease over several decades, “PV + EV” system may provide basis new power infrastructure high efficiency, low cost, large emission reduction. results show that scenario 2030 has highest reduction 73% from vehicle usage, supplying 71% demand city. reduce 59% estimated technology 2030. Most generated consumed owing EV battery capacities, which can contribute rapid City 2050.

Sustainable Personal Road Transport - the Role of Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicles can play an important role in a future sustainable road transport system and many Swedish politicians would like to see them implemented faster. This is likely desirable to reach the target of a fossil independent vehicle fleet in Sweden by 2030 and a greenhouse gas neutral Swedish society no later than 2050. However, to reach both these targets, and certainly to support the f...

Integrated Compact Drives for Electric and Hybrid Electric Vehicles

Increased use of electric and hybrid electric vehicles (EVs/HEVs) is one of the most promising ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. To develop more competitive solutions, one of the trends in the development of drive systems for EVs/HEVs is to integrate the power electronic converter and the electric motor. This thesis aims to investigate the performance and the operation of modular convert...
